After the excitement of the Tour of Britain cyle race which was over in a flash, we still have lots going on in and around Norwich this weekend.
Norwich Sound and Vision is an annual music & multi-media convention taking place for the first time between 16th and 18th September 2010 in Norwich, and consists of a 3 day festival and one-day conference featuring expert speakers from the music, film, TV and games industries and a series of gigs, film screenings, and other interactive performances.
The only event of its kind in the east of England it offers valuable professional guidance for emerging musicians to help them get along in the industry. As well as the convention, there are lots of great local band gigs too see http://www.norwichsoundandvision.co.uk for details.
In Great Yarmouth there is tons of fun over the same weekend with Out There, an international street arts festival run by Seachange Arts. Two days of free fantastic family entertainment not to be missed. Trains run from Norwich to Great Yarmouth and it is only 20 minutes by road so treat yourself and family and friends to a day at the seaside.
