The Birdcage supports the Norwich bid

"I know that Norwich is a hot-bed of culture simply from the incredible characters who we meet every day in the pub. I had decided I wanted to move back from London and open a venue here, because I knew that there was something un-spoilt about the bubbling creativity in the city. From the writers, musicians and djs to the artists and extraordinary individuals who push on with organising some incredible events (for example Norfolk and Norwich Festival, Bonanafana Social Club). But also to the smaller gigs, poetry readings, exhibitions which go on every day and evening in our community, in pubs, clubs and bars all over the city.
It's a city which accepts diversity, and endeavours to learn from it....and for that I am incredibly proud to live here."
